Art debate/International Art exhibition

The Chiang Mai University (CMU) Art Center, in cooperation with the Rajamangala Institute of Technology Poh-Chang, recently conducted an art debate on "Foreign Art and Cultural Influence on Thai Art and Culture: Pros and Cons in the Artists' Views" at the CMU Art Center in Chiang Mai. Giving talks were renowned Thai artists Thawan Datchanee, Kamol Tasananchalee, and Decha Warachun. After the debate, Mr.Thawan Datchanee presided over the opening of the 3rd International Art Exhibition, showing works by Chinese, American and Japanese artists. Famous Thai artists participating in this programme were Preecha Thaothong, Prayad Pong Dam, and Pratueng Aim-Charoen.
